Israel eyes expanding investments in Philippines

According to 
an industry group they were planning to grow their outsourced operations in the country.

Israel is stepping up its bilateral business relations with the Philippines after its Israel Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ICCP) president said the country want to double its trade with the Philippines under President Rodrigo Duterte.

Israel Chamber of Commerce Philippines President Itamar Gero said, “A lot of migration from Indian BPOs to the Philippines is also a good testament of what the Philippines can offer.” 


Geo said he trusts the ICCP would likewise “double” its Israeli member-companies to 100 inside the year from around 50 individuals to date. 

The 50 individuals at present are for the most part tourism and cordiality drew in Israeli firms, which are currently taking a gander at the Philippines as a “viable tourist destination.” 

Meanwhile, chamber's vice president for internal affairs Anton Mauricio said, “Once we communicate the direction clearly, everything will follow. But I think the fundamentals of the Philippines being an attractive place to do business, that’s all done.”

"They know that are many good opportunities in the Philippines, especially with Israeli chamber and all we really need is clear government policy and directions," he added.
