Relief is in sight for tourists, travelers, and the general public heretofore discomfited, if not angered, by traffic congestion around Terminal 3 of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

The pedestrian bridge connecting Terminal 3 of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) and Newport City is expected to be completed by the first half of 2017.

A pedestrian link bridge directly connecting Terminal 3 with Newport City across is getting closer to completion. Once opened, it is seen to help ease the traffic situation in the area.

Instead of travel time that can reach over an hour just to get out of NAIA Terminal 3, in about three minutes, the average person can walk the distance between the airport and Newport City, from where safe alternatives are available to reach various parts of the metropolis.

The link bridge will be enclosed and air-conditioned, with pedestrian-friendly facilities such as walkalators and elevators, making it an iconic tourism development.

Given its clear public benefit and necessity, the project has received the full support and endorsement of relevant government and airport authorities.
