No more terminal fee for OFWs starting March 2017
It's a good news for our overseas Filipino workers (OFWs). Because by March 2017, they will be no longer to pay the P550 airport terminal fee
This was announced by the Manila International Airport Authority general manager Ed Monreal that the known International Passenger Service Charge (IPSC) will not be taken anymore.
Monreal said that the OFWs can claim their refund as long as they possess he E-ticket, boarding pass and passport they used even several years ago.
“Anytime they [OFWs] can [ask for the]refund as long as they present the usual requirements," Monreal aid.
Also, it is said that the airport collected more than a billion pesos from the ticket fees and about half of it remained unclaimed by the OFWs.
The airport terminal fee imposed by the previous administration and opposed by the congress to stop the collection.
