PNP Dela Rosa gets emotional on Zubiri's 'Filipinos are losing trust to law enforcers' statement
PNP Chief Director General Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa became emotional because of Senator Zubiri’s statement during the Senate probe on the killings of Albuera Leyte Mayor Rolando Espinosa.
Bato said that he cannot blame the people if they slowly losing their trust to the police after the controversy that they faced.
"Hindi ako si Superman, ako'y tao lang. Pero dahil ako ang PNP chief, gagawin ko lahat ng makakaya ko. Hindi ako si Superman, ako'y tao lang. Pero dahil ako ang PNP chief, gagawin ko lahat ng makakaya ko," Dela Rosa said.
“I cannot blame the public. Maski ako nga, hindi ko na alam kung sino ang pagkakatiwalaan.” Dela Rosa added.
He said that he already having a difficult time in managing the Philippine National Police.
“Ako po ay hirap na hirap na, [but] I will never surrender… Hindi ko ito uurungan. Lilinisin ko ang PNP hanggang sa makakaya ko.”
Dela Rosa also vowed that he will never leave President Duterte on his war against illegal drugs:
“Sinabi ko sa presidente, ‘di kita iiwan sa laban na ‘to. I will be with you, no matter what.” PNP Chief added.
He’s praying that he can cleanse the Philippine National Police who experienced controversy after the killings of the Former Albuera City Mayor.
"Minsan pinagpapasa-Diyos ko na lang 'yung sitwasyon namin sa PNP kasi mahal na mahal ko 'yung organization namin," he said.
After his emotional statement, Senator Zubiri said that he really trust Dela Rosa and comforted him.
